I use Pinterest as a tool for finding new recipes, mostly. I can’t make a recipe unless I can see a picture of it, so Pinterest is like a lovely internet image search of fabulous recipes. Naturally, of the many I try, not all are winners. I adjust recipes all the time to suit what I have on hand or my personal preferences. I know I haven’t been blogging for very long (not on a consistent basis, at least), but here are my 10 favorite Pinterest recipes that I tried and enjoyed so much that I blogged about them! Follow me on Pinterest and I’ll let you know what recipes are actually worth making!
1. Chocolate Pudding. Always a classic for me, this recipe was a winner because it required no eggs and came from Smitten Kitchen, which is an amazing blog, as I’m sure many of you know! This thick pudding was so good I even shared it with my husband, and I’m not usually that generous with my pudding. MINE.
2. Chocolate Chip Muffins. My sister-in-law, Missy, gets total credit for this pin. The moment I saw it I wanted some giant, soft chocolate chip muffins. This recipe was amazing and so easy! I made it twice in two days, so yeah…that good.
3. Carrot Cake. I made this for Easter, after thinking for years that making carrot cake wasn’t worth the effort. This one is worth the effort, although it really came together quickly. It was a huge hit with my family, and I really wish I had a piece right now. And always, basically.
4. Breaded Tilapia. I’m blessed with a husband who’s a less picky eater than I am, so when he asks for a meal to be repeated (which I don’t ordinarily do because I just forget what I made), I comply. This one will be repeated for many years to come! It makes such a quick supper that I can’t resist it, and such a crunchy, baked fish fillet that why should I?
5. Chocolate Cake. This was dense, fudgy, and kept easily for days! Love it for a potluck or picnic.
6. Lemon Cake. If you’re looking for a perfect citrus dessert that gets mixed up in minutes and will make any lemon lover happy, this is it. It’s simple but powerful and always get devoured by my family (or me!). It’s best with some fresh lemon curd smeared on it, for an extra-special touch!
7. Blackberry Lemon Cupcakes. I’ve made these for my family twice now, and I can’t wait to make them again! My mom declared them her favorite cupcake ever, and that woman knows her baked goods. The Greek yogurt in the batter does something magical (I know, I should have a better, “Food Science-y” explanation, but I don’t) and produces a soft, fluffy cupcake unlike any others. Even if you skip the lemon curd filling, MAKE these!
8. Berry Lemon Cheesecake Tart. Clearly I love lemon with berry, but the lemon is subtle in this recipe. My husband raved about this one, and I really love it, too! It’s reminiscent of a fruit pizza, but all grown-up with a flaky pastry crust and a fluffy filling. Top it with any berries you love, or use raspberries and blueberries for a patriotic touch on 4th of July, which I am definitely doing!
9. Chocolate Raspberry Muffins. This is one of the first recipes that I took a picture of and tried (ha, TRIED) to make it look pretty. It was the dead of winter but these made me forget that! They became my go-to breakfast at school. They’re soft, filled with a perfect combo of chocolate and raspberries (my favorite fruit!), and rise quite nicely. I want to always have my freezer stocked with them!
10. Fruit Tart. I’ve made this recipe for years! It has an amazing pastry crust, a sweet-but-not-too-sweet filling, and I get to make it pretty with fruit, which is so much easier than frosting for me. As I’m making it, I always want to eat each component separately because they’re all so tasty, but the end result is even better!
There you have it! These are all recipes where the original is just perfect and I didn’t have to adjust anything. I mean, I still DID change things, but I didn’t have to. Pinterest is chock-full of recipes, so finding the best is a challenge, but a very fun one! Happy pinning!
I love recommendations for tried and true recipes, thanks!!

I am obsessed with Pinterest! I too cannot stand recipes or cookbooks that do not have pictures. I loved how you featured the best recipes you’ve tried because there is so much out there! That chocolate pudding looks great, can’t believe it doesn’t have any eggs in it!
