AKA “Dreams Come True Dessert”, these strawberry cheesecake brownies were amazing. I ate more than my fair share of them- they did not survive in the fridge for more than a few days. Continue reading “Strawberry Cheesecake Dream Brownies”
I had almost given up on these Pecan Brownie Bites. I made 3 different attempts and they all turned out close, but not perfect. They either ended up gooey and stuck to the pan (but tasted AMAZING) or they popped right out and were dry and lifeless in the flavor department. I volunteered to make a dessert for a charity at work, so I had the chance to try these little brownies again and they finally turned out perfectly! Continue reading “Pecan Brownie Bites”
Cheesecake swirl brownies, mmm. I’m dog-sitting this week for my parents. Well, for my mom mostly, since it’s her little Maltipoo. Jade gets jealous very, very easily, so I have to distribute treats equally or in Jade’s favor at all times or else she mopes. I helped mom find and buy Kiwi, and now Kiwi is her baby. She’s so sweet that it’s hard not to spoil her, but Jade keeps a watchful eye! I love dogs, in case I forgot to mention that.

15 years ago today, my dog Daisy was born. I had been begging for my own dog for 2 years. We always had a dog around, and I was usually following it everywhere, but I wanted one all for myself. I understand now why my parents didn’t get a puppy for an 8-year-old (we had two other dogs, anyways), but at the time it was the hardest struggle I faced. 🙂
I finally got my puppy, and played with her every single day. I loved her instantly. She had a fierce, independent spirit and never cared to cuddle, but she loved me back. She was my constant companion and best friend. As she grew older, she was more apt to lick me and sit in my lap. Every time I saw her, she howled in excitement and I rubbed her face, scratched her back, and told her how much I loved her.
